Beliefs on Halloween

Example is that the Welsh believe that when we sneeze the soul will be blown out i.e. the heartbeat will stop for a while from where the “God Bless you” has been originated. So people believe that if someone sneezed on a Halloween it will be especially dangerous as the devil may capture the soul of that person.
Even there are beliefs that owls catch the souls and eat so if we listen to the sound of Owl then turning the pockets from inside to outside will make a relief from that. The Africans who were brought to America for working as slaves used to have food silently on Halloween night as to allow spirits to come and have food with them. There is also a belief that the children that are born on the Halloween night can see and talk with spirits and also these children will have a life long protection from evil spirits and they rule over them. The Halloween costume beliefs are also there for people.
There are some superstitions that are actually tying up the Halloween and love also. People believe that if we catch a snail on Halloween night keep it in a dish, which is flat, we can the first letter of the loved ones by next day morning in the dish. Others say that if a girl keeps fresh rosemary and a silver coin under her pillow and sleep this is show her future husband in the dream.
So, however we have so many beliefs on this night but the Halloween Costumes are the ones, which play a key and crucial role amongst all these beliefs.
